April 28, 2011: Triple Celebration

Two weeks ago, it was Marc's birthday. Two weeks from now, I'll be celebrating my birthday. And Lea's in the country for a two-week vacation. So E2 had to celebrate!

Actually the first two celebrations were just desperate excuses for them to be treated. The night before, Nikki (girl) IM-ed me, bugging me to treat them. A part of our conversation went like this:
Nikki: SAGUTIN MO RAW DRINKS
Andrea: Drinks = alcohol? Ayoko nga di ako magbebenefit
Nikki: G*go ka :)))) As in water/softdrinks!!

...because you know, drinks can take on a different meaning, especially when you're talking to Nikki.

One minute I was refusing to treat them, and then the other I find myself chatting with Marc to decide where we're going to eat so that our budget can be fixed. Ah, peer pressure. I agreed because at least I'll be sharing the financial burden. Teehee.

So we first met up at Econ, then went to Centris to play Laser tag. I think this is our block's new past time. This time I did less kneeling and more attacking, so my knees don't hurt as much now. But my body still feels sore. I seriously think I should get myself physically fit, because during our second round at Laser Tag, I was having a difficult time breathing and my head was aching. (So lame, I know.)

We were playing for fun while the children who we were against played as if their lives were on the line. One was even shouting "fire in the hole", wth =)) And there was this other guy who threw a stuff toy at us (apparently his way of distracting us) then started "killing" us. Seriously now.

Marc and I initially wanted to eat at Pizza Hut, but it was full. So we landed at our second (more expensive) option which was Yellow Cab.

They bought a cake and sang a birthday song for us. We weren't able to blow the candles because they died down even before they finished singing for us. I know Marc and I kind of demanded a birthday cake the night before, but I honestly didn't expect they'd buy one for us.
Lea gave us a candy she bought in Korea during her stopover. It tasted like "ugat" according to her, and I don't even know what that tastes like.

Block pictures! Thanks E2!

Josh started the block celebration of a birthday, and now we're all (kind of) obligated to treat blockmates on our birthdays. Just great. Oh well, at least I'm done now, and I can look forward to June for the next birthday celebration (hi Domdom!).
